This site is a place where I hope to post poetry on a fairly regular basis. That's the plan, at least, but I'm hopeful.
Most of the stuff here will be in haiku form, since that really is currently my favorite structure. It forces a writer to stop and think. You have to pick and choose your words carefully. And you're essentially trying to come up with the largest effect and meaning, using the least number of words and syllables.
Also, since it isn't that long a type of poem, hopefully that'll make it easier for me to keep on going. I'll also probably introduce longer forms of poetry as I go along, but as with most things, it really depends.
For now, I'm making use of images available in the public domain. But hopefully I'll soon be able to attach photos to my poems, that I took myself. I really need to practice taking photos more. After all, if I don't, how will I ever improve? So maybe this blog will force me to take more photographs as well.
